WHY IT MATTERS

“A wheelchair swing builds confidence, supports sensory regulation, and creates moments of pure joy.”

For adults with special needs, the joy of swinging doesn’t have to stop at childhood — but the equipment usually does. This adaptive swing will let wheelchair users at The Gathering at The Sensory Club Austin (opens in a new tab) roll right on, swing freely, and feel the same rush of joy as everyone else around them.

HOW YOUR GIFT HELPS

One swing, so many wins

A wheelchair swing isn’t just equipment — it’s a doorway to play, regulation, and belonging.

Confidence

Rolling on independently gives riders a sense of control — and a whole lot of pride.

Sensory Regulation

The rhythm of swinging helps calm and regulate the nervous system for riders who need it most.

Connection & Joy

Swinging together means no one has to sit on the sidelines — everyone gets to play.

THE GOAL
$5,000

for one wheelchair swing

Every dollar goes directly toward the swing, its installation, and making sure it’s ready for the whole community at The Gathering to enjoy.
